Kuvo

About Kuvo

After fourteen years at El Toque, a tapas bar some people in Estepona still call to book, Óscar and Pilar started again in 2022 with something completely different.

Kuvo is the more refined of the two. Spanish product — Galician beef, wild turbot, scallops, foie gras — meets Japanese accents of yuzu, miso, kimchi and seven-spice, and every service is looked after by Óscar and Pilar themselves.

Product, technique and a proper welcome

Dishes arrive on ribbed glass, gold rims and blue-and-white ceramic, under paper lanterns and walls of patterned tile. Kuvo thinks of its guests as people invited to a party, and of itself as the host.

The people

Óscar & Pilar

After years of travelling, they opened a very small tapas bar beside the Iglesia del Carmen and spent fourteen years turning it into one of Estepona's best-loved places to eat. Kuvo is their second chapter.
